Employee Separation
If you supervise an employee who is leaving their employment at WNMU, you will want to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining continuity of operations in your department. To help you with the employee’s offboarding process, please use this Separation Checklist as a resource.
We are collecting data to understand what we are doing well at WNMU and what we could improve upon to retain our valuable employees. Before you depart WNMU for your next career move, please contact us for an in-person exit interview or complete the Exit Interview Survey.
Before leaving your employment at WNMU, it’s important that you understand what will happen with your individual benefits coverage, such as medical insurance and retirement. Please make an appointment with Yvette Rackley, Benefits and Compensation Director at 575-538-6363 or yvette.rackley@wnmu.edu to discuss your options.
Unemployment insurance provides temporary financial assistance to qualified individuals who meet state eligibility requirements. For more information about unemployment benefits, contact the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions.
